Submission of Promotion Decree/Group of 21-22 Safar 1442 H / 9-10 October 2020 M

The Bureau of Human Resources Development (BHRD) held a Decree for the Promotion/Group of Lecturers and Education Personnel (TENDIK) on Friday and Saturday 21-22 Safar 1442 H / 9-10 October 2020 M in the DEB room, 6th Floor of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). This activity was divided into two groups by considering the availability of space to follow health protocols, such as wearing a mask, providing a hand sanitizer, and maintaining a minimum distance of one meter.

The submission of the first and second day of Decree was attended by the Head of the Bureau of Human Resources Development, BHRD UMS Prof. Budi Murtiyasa, M.Kom., Chancellor of UMS Prof. Sofyan Anif, M.Si., and the Head of the DEB UMS Daily Executive Board Drs. A. Dahlan Rais, M.Hum., while the Fourth Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Musiyam, MT., was unable to attend on the second day because there was another agenda that could not be left behind.

The lecturers and education personnel who were given promotions were 56 personnel consisting of 16 lecturers and 40 staff from a number of faculties in the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. As for lecturers and education staff who were promoted to one level from the previous level consisted of Id for 5 persons, IIa to IIc for 34 persons, IIIa and IIIb for 5 persons each, IIIc for 4 persons, and IVa for 4 persons, with details attached.

After submitting the Decree, the Chancellor of UMS Prof. Sofyan Anif, M.Si stated “UMS is famous because of the large number of professors and doctors. However if you observed, it is like a triangular formation. It means that there are still numerous lecturers who are still Expert Assistants, Lectors, and teaching staff. Hence, to motivate lecturers to improve their functional positions, UMS through BHRD provides assistance to UMS lecturers so that it makes it easier for lecturers to manage functional positions”.

Then, the Head of DEB UMS, Drs. A. Dahlan Rais, M. Hum., gave a message that “the obligation to be grateful if we receive pleasure from Allah SWT, apart from reciting Alhamdulillah, we must also be realized through infaq and alms. Infaq and alms are done in an unbound to any circumstances. So Mr./Ms. lecturers and employees can provide infaq and alms, especially at Muhammadiyah. For example, men in Friday prayers give infaq and alms at the UMS Mosque, both the Fadlurahman Mosque and the Sudalmiyah Rais Mosque”.

Hopefully, this promotion will motivate the lecturers and staff to be more enthusiastic and more productive in working and serving at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta
